CF A Spot of Tea

--SOLD-- CF A Spot of Tea, is a 15.3 hand NSH, Half-Arab mare who turned 6 this spring. Her Dam was Pure Silk, a Bask mare and her Sire was London Times who is now standing in Washington.

She was in training with Randi Vreeland of Cypress Hills Farm in '02 and '03, and we are showed her in Half-Arab Country English Pleasure and National Show Horse classes, Junior Horse, AAOTR. We competed in Paso Robles, Bakersfield, Santa Barbara at the Pacific Slopes, and have returned from Region 2 where Karen and Tea won First Place in 1/2 Arab Country English Pleasure AAOTR and Randi picked up a Top Five and later Reserve Champion in Country English Pleasure Junior Horse classes. We won two Fourths, two Top fives, Three Firsts, One Championship, One Reserve Champion, and '02 at the Labor Day Show in Santa Barbara "Moxie" (Tea's Barn Name) picked up the Reserve Champion in her Snaffle Bit Futurity (at her first show!) with Randi on board. In '03 Spot of Tea was in training with Jim Lowe and showed in Scottsdale.

This mare is one to watch, with a huge cadenced trot, and animation that builds when she has an audience. She's level-headed under saddle and on the ground, has a "can-do" attitude and just loves to work. We thank Molly Higgins and Candalaria Farms for breeding such a nice mare and letting us have her, and Marge Post, her original trainer (both of Colorado) for giving her a great start, Randi Vreeland for putting on the miles and polish.
